For Lucille’s one-year birthday we decided to do a “trash the cake” session. I love photographing babies as they eat their birthday cake. It is so much fun to see how each child reacts. Lucille liked the cake, but she was very deliberate about how she ate it. At the rate she was going it would have taken her a week to finish the cake! We tried to encourage her to just stick her face into it and eat it, but she was having none of that.

I love looking over my images later to see what I have captured. But the most rewarding part is seeing the look on other people's faces when they love the images I have created for them.
